Cone & reducer flat pattern

Create a flat sheet pattern from the large diameter, small diameter and height.

How to use

Calculation inputs

Calculation result

Enter the values; results update automatically.

Ideal concentric development. No thickness correction, weld overlap or eccentric reducer. CAD arcs are exported as true arcs.

How to use

Enter neutral-surface diameters and axial height of a concentric cone or reducer. Use small diameter 0 for a full cone; download SVG/DXF.

Example calculation

D = 600, d = 300, h = 400 mm → s ≈ 427.20019 mm; Ro ≈ 854.40037 mm; Ri ≈ 427.20019 mm.

Calculation method

s = √[h² + ((D − d)/2)²] Ro = sD/(D−d); Ri = sd/(D−d) φ = 180D/Ro (degrees)

Calculation limits

Ideal concentric development. No thickness correction, weld overlap or eccentric reducer. CAD arcs are exported as true arcs.
