K-factor calculator

Calculate the K-factor from measurements of an actual test bend.

Calculation inputs

Calculation result

Enter the values; results update automatically.

One bend only. K outside 0–1 is rejected as inconsistent measurements. Reuse only for matching material, thickness and tooling.

How to use

Enter the test blank’s original flat length, finished outside A/B dimensions, inside radius, thickness and rotation angle from flat.

Example calculation

A = B = 50, R = t = 2, Lflat = 96.398229715 mm, θ = 90° → K ≈ 0.4.

Calculation method

BA = Lflat − A − B + 2(R + t)tan(θ/2) K = [BA / (θπ/180) − R] / t

Calculation limits

One bend only. K outside 0–1 is rejected as inconsistent measurements. Reuse only for matching material, thickness and tooling.
