How to use
Enter the actual pipe inside diameter in mm and length in metres. Use the inside diameter, not the nominal or outside diameter.
Example calculation
A full pipe with an inside diameter of 100 mm and a length of 10 m holds approximately 78.54 litres.
Calculation method
V[L] = π(d / 1000)²ℓ × 1000 / 4 (d: mm; ℓ: m)
Calculation limits
Assumes a completely full circular pipe with a constant inside diameter. Excludes the volume of bends, valves, fittings and partially filled sections.
